Reed In-Cosmetics Show Coming to NY

wholesale cosmetic showReed Exhibitions is bringing its in-cosmetics brand to the Big Apple next year when it launches the show Sept. 7-8, 2016 at Pier 36.

in-cosmetics North America, which focuses on personal care ingredients and already is established in overseas markets such as Paris and Bangkok, will feature international companies such as Ashland, Caregen, Clariant, Gattefosse, KCC Corporation, Lucas Meyer, Merck, Nanjing Cosmos, Technature,

The Innovation Company and Vantage Specialty Ingredients already have confirmed their participation. More than 20 countries including Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, Argentina, India, Italy, Slovakia, Australia, Korea, China and France, are represented.

As the world’s largest personal care market, North America is the natural choice for the expanding in-cosmetics portfolio, according to show officials.

The region comprises 18 percent of the global personal care industry and the New York Tri-state area is home to more than 2,000 personal care manufacturers such as Colgate-Palmolive, Estée Lauder, Johnson & Johnson, Avon and Coty.

According to Euromonitor International, the ‘high- tech’ market is expected to total $99bn by 2019. This largely is being driven by increased spending power with more affluent consumers favoring natural and organic as well as niche premium products.

“The forecast for beauty and personal care in the US is positive for the coming years, according to Euromonitor,” said in-cosmetics Portfolio Director, Lucy Gillam. “Higher incomes will allow more consumers to buy premium products and an ageing population will also become more prominent, driving growth in key areas such as anti-ageing skin care.”

She added, “As a result, the sector is booming, with thousands of cosmetic manufacturers competing for their share of the market. Innovative new ingredients and current market insights are very much in-demand which is why we have decided to replicate the globally-successful in-cosmetics formula in the States.”
